Beyond Monitoring: Discover the Latest Thembi Innovations
Thembi is continuously being updated.
Thembi is continuously being updated. Some of the changes happen behind the scenes, improving performance and fixing problems. Some changes are much larger and hopefully more impactful, delivering major new capabilities.
It is exciting to make a larger release, with significant new functionality.
Thembi has always aimed to provide Policy professionals with the tools they need to let you focus on decisions and strategy - while taking on the monitoring and analysis and giving you tools to visualise and research EU policy positions.
Thembi started with a powerful tool to let you identify files and media stories that are relevant to you. The Thembi PolicyTwin(tm) uses powerful AI processes to match your policy interests, and continuously learn from your feedback to ensure that you see the most important information.
This update has dramatically expanded your ability to navigate and visualise the those procedures and their positions in the legislative process.
Key new tools have been added to allow you to examine stakeholders in the law making process. Parties involved in lobbying with MEPs are also now tracked and can be visualised.
It is one thing to track and monitor this information - but the aim of Thembi is “Beyond Monitoring” - so it is vital that we provide tools to visualise this rich information to make it simple to consume and understand. This release therefore has focused on improvements to how we show the different perspectives on the process.
Improved procedural timeline: A new compact timeline that shows the complete procedure in one overview. Additional steps are shown for items like committee meetings and for lobbying meetings.
Stakeholders: Understanding who is involved in a procedure is critical. The MEPs and committees leading a procedure are now shown, but additionally a new section enables users to search for stakeholders and view their engagement across parties, procedures, committees and lobbyist meetings. MEPs show all their questions, amendments and conflicts of interest.
Explore: A new tool to let you interactively explore the relationships between procedures, people, organisations, parties and meetings.
Lobbying: A treeview view that lets you explore who is being lobbied by whom, get an overview or drill into specific lobbying meetings.
We hope you find these visualisations useful and provide insights to the policy landscape you might have otherwise not seen.
